February 2008: Marked a bunch of zines "free," in hopes of sending them off to make room for some upcoming new stock, so take advantage of the chance to get a bundle of rad zines for just the price of postage. -Lauren (arcadedistro@gmail.com)
November 2008: Finally over the hangover that was with me for days after going to the FEST in Florida on Halloween weekend. I got rid of all the Paypal buttons on the site, and changed the ordering system so that now you can just email me the list of what you want and I will email you back to tell you how much it will cost. Much easier and more economical this way, I assure you. I finally finished the second issue of my zine Monsters In Our Heavens, which has an "Art Class" theme. I also added a "Paper Crafts" section to the site, which will be full of cool projects very soon I am sure. And last but not least, I have copies of the new Razorcake, which is still the best punk zine in the world. -Lauren (arcadedistro@gmail.com
September 2008: The Arcade Distro website gets a back- to- school makeover in Fall colors! Some people say that we don't have a real Fall here in Texas, but it's my favorite season all the same. I had a fire lit under me last month, so there are a lot of new things to check out on the website. I divided up the "About" section into seperate pages for History, Ordering & Wholesale, and Submissions, so hopefully, all the information you need is easier to find. I also created an Essays & Reviews page so you can check out some pieces I've written that have already been published elsewhere. New zine this month is Giant Steps #3, and Resist #46 is back in stock. -Lauren (arcadedistro@gmail.com)
July 2008: Wow, it's been a beautiful, busy, summer so far, folks. I am currently having fun decorating people's packages with rubber stamps, so look out for some boats and owls in your mailbox if you order while I'm in this phase. New zines in stock here are: The Juniper #10, and Give Me Back #1. Plus, Arcade has a couple of copies of an old favorite called World Salad: Favoritos by Chad Hopper. If you happen to make an awesome zine or craft project, send it in! I'm looking to pick up some new stock now. -Lauren (arcadedistro@gmail.com)
May 2008: Arcade Distro stickers with this ultra cute dinosaur drawing on them came in the mail this week, so I'll be enclosing one (maybe a few if you ask nicely) with each order. New zines in stock are: Eaves of Ass #6 and Free, Fer, Frim. Back in Stock: Night Terrors. Also, I added a wholesale page in case you're interested in ordering some of the zines that Arcade Distro carries in multiples of five. -Lauren (arcadedistro@gmail.com)
April 2008: New banner design thanks to Julia Fitzgerald! Back in stock: Avow #20, Give Me Back #2, Brainscan #22, and more. New stock: Clip Tart #2, Avow #22, and Give Me Back #3, and more. Tabling at West Fest in Houston on April 12th. If you want Arcade Distro monthly updates emailed to you, just type in your email address in the mailing list form at the bottom of this page. Keep sending in zines for consideration and stickers + fliers for your zine/ band/ distro if you want me to mail them out with orders. -Lauren (arcadedistro@gmail.com)
February 2008: I finally got the ads removed and paypal online ordering set up! Please be sure to look at the "ordering info" page before you click "proceed to checkout" if you use paypal. Also, a lot of new zines came in this month, along with some rad patches, postcards, and buttons. Check out the rest of Arcade Distro's February updates on the myspace blog or click on the zine pages to see for yourself. -Lauren (arcadedistro@gmail.com)
December 2007: This new website marks a fresh start for the Arcade Distro, which has seen several incarnations since it was started more than five years ago. Since it was passed down to me this summer, Arcade Distro has been tabled at local events and has a display with zines for sale at Sedition Books. The purpose of this website is to make the zines Arcade Distro carries accesible to people outside the Houston area. Thanks for visiting and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. -Lauren (arcadedistro@gmail.com)
